What is a Shape Poem?

Shape poems are a special kind of poetry in which the words are arranged on the page to look like what they are describing. For example, a poem about a bat might be shaped like a bat, with the body and wings made up of words. This way, the poem not only describes the thing but also looks like it. Shape poems are a fun way to blend different subjects into your writing block as well!
