A Holiday Writing Template Pack for the Festive Season

If you’re looking for a writing activity to keep your little learners engaged during the festive season, then you’ve come to the right place!

This holiday writing template resource combines a practical, hands-on craft activity with a scaffolded writing task. Students will enjoy the hands-on experience of cutting and pasting pieces together to create their own Christmas character. Afterwards, they’ll get to practise their writing skills by composing a short text about their creation.

Mrs Clause, Rudolph, The Gingerbread Man and one of Santa’s elves are featured in this resource. The following prompts accompany each holiday writing template:

  1. Mrs. Clause helps Santa by…
  2. Rudolph has a red nose because…
  3. The Gingerbread Man was running because…
  4. If I were an elf…

This low-prep Christmas activity helps build writing confidence while adding a splash of festive cheer to your classroom walls or hallway displays.
