A banner that displays extended place value.

Use this educational banner when exploring place value in the upper years.

Display the banner to help students identify and understand the place value system from billions to thousands. This Mathematics resource can be adapted for lower grades by printing the banner and removing non-essential number places. It can also be laminated and written on with a whiteboard marker during any place value lesson. Simply wipe clean when finished and use again for another activity.

This teaching resource is available in colour and black and white and in both PDF and editable Microsoft Word formats.

Could it be possible to have the option of “ones” instead of “units”?

This should say 'tenths' after the decimal place, it currently says 'tens' which is incorrect.
