🔍 Can you Spy the Rubbish – Worksheet

In this worksheet, students are encouraged to spy all the different types of rubbish. They are asked to colour code the rubbish into their groups to show their understanding of the appropriate bins to use. The different bins included in this worksheet include: recycling bin, rubbish bin and compost.

Use this activity during National Recycling Week or when your students are learning about sustainability.

To challenge students further, have them create their own I Spy worksheet using other types of rubbish materials on the backside of this worksheet. 

For students who need some extra support, you may like to do this in small groups where the students work together to spy and sort the pieces of rubbish on the worksheet.

Easily Download & Print

Because this resource includes an answer sheet, we recommend you print one copy of the entire file. Then, make photocopies of the blank worksheet for students to complete.

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing on cardboard and slipping it into a write-and-wipe sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker, then erase and reuse. 

Additionally, project the worksheet onto a screen and work through it as a class by having students record their answers in their notebooks.
