Teach Starter Publishing
PDF | 2 pages | Years: P - 4

Reflect on what Remembrance Day means to your students with this worksheet.

Remembrance Day Reflection Worksheet

Remembrance Day is one of Australia’s most important commemorations. It is a day to pause, remember and reflect upon the sacrifices made by all servicemen and servicewomen, both past and present.

This Remembrance Day worksheet has been designed to help students record their reflections about what this special day means to them.

Students may wish to display the reflections in the classroom publicly to acknowledge the sacrifice of soldiers. This resource includes both a male and female soldier.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

Help students struggling to generate their ideas and put it into writing by:

  • Providing students with a mind map template so that they can get any ideas down onto paper first.
  • Hold a class discussion about Remembrance day and what it means to everyone within the group before completing the activity. You might like to chart some main ideas for students to use when they start to write their own reflection.
