Printable Pencil Station Signs

Are you looking for some signs that will organise your pencil station in your classroom? Sharp lead pencils are often those items in the classroom that just go missing; by using these printable signs to set up a station for your classroom, you’ll be creating an organised space for your students to utilise.

This printable set of pencil station posters includes one main poster titled – Pencil Station and two smaller signs for ‘Sharp Pencils’ and ‘Dull Pencils’. By sticking each of these signs to a pencil holder, you can set up a job each week for someone who comes into the classroom and sharpens all the blunt pencils and ensures the sharp pencils tin is full! No more students getting up halfway through a lesson to sharpen their pencils anymore!

How to Stop Pencils Disappearing

Looking for more ways to stop pencils from disappearing, by keeping them in one central spot using these signs, students use the pencils as a class community. Here are some other ideas:

  1. Allow students to decorate their own pencils with washi tape – by making them proud of their belongings – they are more likely to take care of their belongings.
  2. Number the pencils and encourage accountability as a whole class community.
  3. Store a handful of pencils in pockets for each student; each time they need a new pencil, they go to their pocket. When their pocket is low on stock, it’s time to send home a note for more new pencils!
