Help your students feel at home on the first day of a new school year with these customisable desk name plates to match your classroom theme.

Brighten Your Classroom with Editable Desk Name Plates

The first day of a new school year is full of excitement and surprises for our students. They are often bursting with questions: Which of my friends will be in my class? Who will my teacher be? Which classroom will I be in? Where will I sit?

Seeing their new classroom decorated in a bright and visually appealing classroom theme can be a highly effective way of getting your new class excited about the year ahead. Seeing their name on a desk name plate in this theme can make a child feel welcome and relaxed with a heightened sense of belonging… exactly how we want our students to feel on their first day in our class!

Not only are desk name plates a great tool for welcoming your students into their new classroom, they also provide great support aides for your students to access during the school year, such as the alphabet written in their state school font (on the correct state lines, of course!)

Should you choose to update your classroom theme during the school year, our editable desk name plates are ready to change with you!

Customisable Space-Themed Desk Name Plates to Match Your Chosen Classroom Theme

This Space-themed desk name plate has been designed to complement your Space-themed classroom.

In addition to looking fabulous on your students’ desks, these name plates are fully customisable, allowing teachers to make personalised decisions about what features to include for their little learners.

  • The editable options on these customisable desk name plates include:
  • the name of the student
  • the letters of the alphabet (in both upper and lower case)
  • number lines (choose between 10, 20 and 30)
  • left and right hands.

You can also choose your state’s school font and font lines to help your students become familiar with correct letter formations.

Easily Prepare These Desk Name Plates

If you so choose, you can download these desk name plates and manually write in your students’ names. However, if you are looking to save time (And aren’t all teachers looking to save time?), hit the ‘Customise’ button!

We recommend printing your students’ desk name plates on thick white card – be sure to choose a durable option. Once you’ve printed them, adhere them to your students’ desks. Our hot tip is to use Velcro dots or Velcro strips – this means that you can remove the desk name plates on cleaning days, keeping them in tip-top condition!

Another way to utilise the benefits of desk name plates is to have a ‘desk folder’ for your students. Adhere a desk name plate to the front of a cardboard wallet. Students can keep all their work for the week in this folder for easy access.
