Inspire Christmas Writing with a Dear Santa Letter Template!
It’s time to prepare for Christmas! Let’s set aside the garland and tinsel and focus on Santa! We have a fun and easy way to inspire your pupils to write and dream during this festive season.
Block off one of your writing segments this December and have your pupils write a letter to Santa using our Dear Santa letter template. The template is designed as a sentence frame that guides pupils to fill in the blanks with information about themselves, their behaviour this year and what they want for Christmas. Finally, they conclude the letter with well wishes and a hearty Merry Christmas to Santa.
Writing a Dear Santa Letter Makes Writing Fun!
This will be a great way to help pupils get into the season’s spirit and practise writing letters. It can be used as an alternative activity or something different from what they usually do during writing time.
It makes a great writing centre activity in the weeks leading up to the Christmas holidays.
