Dressing Up A Sentence Activity

Free | 24 pages (PDF, Word, Google Slides)|Grades: 1 - 3

An activity to help encourage students to add more descriptive language into their sentence writing.

Use this teaching resource in small groups, or as a whole class. Students pick a simple, boring sentence from a pack of 60 flash cards. They then use the ‘Dressing Up a Sentence’ template, which will guide them in how to add to the sentence.

Use the custom Word document to add sentences of your own or colourise the parts of speech for easier identification.

Hi. I also have the problem of just having the template. The details above say 24 pages but the document only had three.
Thanks

Hi Rachel,
Thanks for your comment. The Microsoft Word version is our editable version so only has three pages. However, the PDF has 24 pages. Please let us know if you have any further issues with this resource. Many thanks!

I have found the document with the template but not the one with the list of boring sentences. Any help?

Shirley Pulis Xerxen · Mar 20th, 2019

Hi Shirley, we have now fixed this problem. The download will include a list of boring sentences. Many thanks for letting us know.
