Use this printable solar system craft when learning about the planets and their position in relation to the Sun.

DIY Solar System Mobile

This printable solar system mobile template is a perfect craft activity for your students to complete when learning about our planetary system.

Students will decorate and cut out the sun and planets and attach them to the mobile to create a fun eye-catching display of the solar system.

Solar System Models

The printable planets included in the resource can be used in many different ways. Ideas include:

  • attach the planets to a single piece of string in the correct order
  • put the planets on pop-sticks and have students simulate their orbits around the room
  • cut out the illustrations and write a fact file about each planet. 🪐
