Surviving With Sound Research Project

Get your students excited about science with this engaging animal sound research project! In this activity, students explore how different organisms use sound in their daily lives to survive and thrive.

From echolocation to communication, this sound research project encourages your students to explore the fascinating ways animals rely on sound to find food, avoid danger, navigate, and interact with others.

Investigate How Animals Use Sound to Survive

In this science research project, students will take on the role of researchers, choosing an organism and investigating how it uses sound to survive in the wild. Possible examples include bats, dolphins, whales, elephants, birds, and insects.

Throughout the project, students will:

  • Research how their chosen organism uses sound for survival
  • Explore how sound helps with communication, navigation, or finding food
