Anzac Day Craft – Create an Anzac Day Wristband

Use this versatile and engaging resource for your students when learning about the significance of Anzac Day. This Anzac Day craft template includes three different designs including:

  • Poppy design
  • Slouch hat with ‘Lest we Forget’ design
  • Poppy with ‘Lest we Forget’ design

When students have finished creating this Anzac Day craft, they can wear the wristband, which can serve as a symbol of remembrance and respect for the soldiers who fought and died in the war. By wearing the Anzac Day wristbands, children can show their gratitude and honour the bravery of those who have served their country.

By wearing these wristbands at home, students can also open up discussions with family and friends about why they are wearing the wristband.

✂️ Give Them the (Safety) Scissors

This template makes for a bonus cutting skills activity, depending on your students’ ages and abilities.

With adult supervision, cutting skills help students work multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:

  • strengthen finger and hand muscles
  • build dexterity and fine motor skills
  • improve hand-eye coordination
  • develop focus and attention.

And all of these skills are necessary to use a pencil and a fork; button a shirt and tie shoes; write, type, and swipe.

Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!
