It’s a known fact that if students are writing about something they enjoy and are passionate about – it’s going to be less of a struggle. Utilise these basketball-themed vocabulary cards to help them during their writing tasks.

Basketball-Related Activities for the Classroom

Here are some other ideas and ways you could incorporate basketball into your classroom:

  • Use basketball to teach social studies concepts such as teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Science activities – use the concept of basketball to teach science themes such as motion and force. Use different types of balls to see how their bounce or trajectory changes.
  • Maths – use basketball statistics, such as shooting percentages and rebounds to teach maths concepts such as fractions and percentages.
