How to Use This Roll and Write a Story Resource
Using this roll and write a story resource in your classroom couldn’t be easier! Just follow the steps below to get started:
- Hand out the materials – Give each student a Roll a Christmas Story worksheet and a die. Alternatively, students can share in pairs or small groups.
- Roll the dice – Students roll to select a character, setting, event and mode of transportation from the chart.
- Create the story – Using their results, students use their imagination to write a unique Christmas story.
- Extend the activity – Once the students have finished, why not have them illustrate their stories, then read them aloud to the class.
