Ways to Use an Outline of an Owl

Need some ideas? Here are a few fun applications perfect for using your printable owl outline.

  • Print out an outline of the owl for students to colour and decorate, then have students label the different body parts, etc.
  • Decorate the owl template and cut it out. Have your students decorate them with paint, glue, watercolour, etc. Hang the owls from the ceiling or tape them on the walls to create a spooky Halloween atmosphere.
  • Hide the Owl templates around the classroom and organise a scavenger hunt for kids. Write a maths equation on each card and have groups hunt the owls. The first group to collect all the owls wins a prize.
  • Use the owl templates as storytelling aids. Have your students write an owl-themed story and make a decorative owl to accompany the writing.
