Reflect on the amazing school year with End-of-Year Reflect and Write Task Cards.
Looking for End-of-Year Activities? Reflect and Write With a Game of Scoot!
As you wrap up the school year, these reflect and write task cards will help your students reflect on the many events they experienced throughout the year.
The 24 cards include thoughtful reflection questions that students will respond to in writing or in a small group discussion. Each question includes space for students to explain their reasoning, making it easy to see how they feel about their school year.
Some of the reflective questions included are:
- What are you most proud of this year? Why?
- What was the most challenging thing you did this year? How did you overcome it?
- How could you have made this year better?
- What would you like next year’s teacher to know about you?
Place the cards around the room in numerical order and give each student a recording sheet. Assign students or pairs to a starting point card. Give students time to review the card and record their answers in the corresponding space on their paper. Students will rotate to the next card when you say, “SCOOT!” Continue in this manner until students return to their starting point. When finished, hold a classroom discussion and let your students celebrate their successes!
