Introduce Everyone With Find a Friend Who Bingo Boards

Kick off the first day of school with laughter, movement, and meaningful conversations using our Find a Friend Who Bingo boards! This classic icebreaker activity helps students get to know one another while you begin building a strong classroom community. It’s the perfect way to ease first-day nervousness, encourage conversation between new students, and create an inclusive environment where your students feel comfortable and connected to each other.

This Find a Friend activity is designed with our littlest learners in mind. It includes visual prompts and a variety of topics for students to talk about. To play, simply give each student a copy of the Find a Friend Who Bingo board and watch the fun unfold!

How to Play Find a Friend Bingo

This Find a Friend Bingo Game is simple to prep and easy to play—no additional materials needed!

  1. Print or assign a Find a Friend board to each student.
  2. Have students walk around and talk to their peers to find someone who fits a square (e.g., “likes to play soccer”).
  3. The matching classmate signs their name in the box.
  4. Play as traditional Bingo (3 in a row) or as a “complete the board” challenge for a longer activity.

To deepen conversations, encourage students to ask follow-up questions. For example, if a square says “has a pet,” students might ask, What kind of pet do you have? or What’s your pet’s name?

We have included four variations of each Find a Friend worksheet featuring different conversation prompts.
