Crafty Ideas to Teach Fire Safety

This writing prompt and craft activity for early readers and writers is a perfect addition to your HPE lessons!

Students will write a paragraph to explain the most important fire safety rules they should follow. Then they will colour, cut and assemble an adorable firefighter to hold up their writing.

Personal safety activities don’t have to be complicated. Print this simple craft template, grab some supplies, and your students are off to a great start! You could even turn their masterpieces into an amazing fire safety display board!

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

🚀Engage your fast finishers by having them create their own picture books to show what they know about firefighters and fire safety.

🆘Differentiate for your struggling writers by providing them with an additional list of words to pull from, or write them a list of sentence stems to guide their writing.
