Growth Mindset Interactive Activity for the Classroom
This nine-slide interactive activity is available to download in Google Slides or PowerPoint. Aimed at primary school students, this interactive activity has been created to get children thinking about switching their vocabulary from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. Here are some of the engaging activities students will be guided through:
- Transforming fixed mindset sayings into growth mindset sayings.
- Identifying if a statement about growth mindset is true or false by dragging words into a table.
- Sorting growth mindset statements and fixed mindset statements by dragging and dropping them into a table.
- An individual activity that has students identifying things they are learning but haven’t mastered YET and things they want to learn but haven’t tried YET.
- Sorting statements into mistakes, failures, and challenges.
- Finishing sentences with the following words: challenges, grow, improved, and mistakes.
- Identifying examples of growth mindset at school and home.
- Identifying what grit is and what grit is not.

A teacher has created this interactive activity to assist in your social-emotional lessons. The calming colours work perfectly not to overstimulate the students. Each activity creates fantastic opportunities for a whole class discussion about the answers. Providing a range of ways this can be incorporated into the classroom, such as:
- Whole class activity where, as a class, the questions and answers are discussed before completing them.
- Small group work – providing students with a smaller group to feel more comfortable sharing their views and opinions.
- Individual activity to assess student’s knowledge and understanding of growth mindset.
