Read, Spell, and Write Compound Words With a Digital Learning Activity!

Get ready to dive into another round of engaging compound word activities from Teach Starter! This Google Interactive Learning Center is ready to use, and it provides students with an interactive model of word building with various examples of compound words. For this activity, students are given a picture stimulus to generate the initial word. From this point, students will interact with various draggable and typing-based objects to develop their skills with saying, reading, spelling, and using compound words in sentences.

Students will click and drag tiles to build words, use them in sentences, and more!

This resource is helpful in direct Instruction lessons or as a centre activity to build children’s understanding of compound words.
