Let’s Learn How to Draw a Grandpa!

With Grandparents’ Day just around the corner, it’s time to honour the amazing impact that grandparents have on children’s lives. This year, let’s make it extra special by encouraging our students to prepare one-of-a-kind creations for their grandfathers. These crafts are not only a chance for our little ones to tap into their creativity but also a wonderful chance to improve the special connection between generations. Let’s spread joy and gratitude by celebrating the love and wisdom of our cherished grandpas!

This directed drawing activity is the perfect way for your students to show off their artistic skills, writing skills, and their love for their grandfather! Using the step-by-step instructions, students will first draw a picture of a grandpa using the scaffolded example. Then students will write a short paragraph about why they love their grandfather so much.

You can then cut the lower section away from the instructions, fold it in half, and you’ve got an instant card for Grandpa!
