Informative Texts Writing Tasks - Fact Files and Scaffolding Sheet

A set of 5 fact files and a scaffolding sheet which can be used to write an informative text.

Use this teaching resource when your students are learning how to write an informative text.

It includes a set of 5 fact files, covering the following topics:

  • African Lions
  • Cupcakes
  • The Giza Pyramids
  • Halloween
  • The Weather.

Students read the facts in the fact file and sort them into the table provided.

Using these facts, students then write an informative text using the scaffolding sheet provided.
