Mini-Mystery – What Is the Shoe's Name?

PDF | 2 pages|Grades: 3 - 6

A fun, logic-based activity where students read clues to solve the mystery.

This teaching resource can be used as an engaging warm-up activity, or as an extension task for fast finishers.

Display the mini-mystery on your interactive whiteboard, or distribute hard copies to individual students.

Students read the statements made by the characters, along with the ‘Cold Hard Facts’.

They then use logic and reasoning to eliminate ‘red herring’ characters and solve the mystery!

An answer sheet is provided.

Can we have a pack of these or a pp with one on each slide, to use as a warm up?

Tom (Teach Starter)

Great idea Molly! We are currently looking into creating a PowerPoint for the mini-mysteries. Be on the lookout for it in the new year!

In the meantime, we have a resource collection where you can find all the mini-mysteries in one place.
