Use this teaching resource when introducing simple present tense and simple past tense to your students.
Print, cut and laminate the cards. These could be used in the following ways in the classroom:
- Give each student a card. Encourage the students to make groups of three, consisting of the image, the present tense sentence and the past tense sentence.
- As a class, group the sentences according to whether they are present tense or past tense.
- Using the cards as examples, allow the students to create their own present tense and past tense sentences, based on a picture they have drawn.
