Using These Place Value Colouring Sheets

These place value colouring sheets are perfect for maths stations, independent practice, or as a fun early finisher activity. Here are even more ideas to integrate this resource into your classroom!

  1. Maths Art Gallery – After students complete their worksheets, display their colourful creations on bulletin board to showcase both their maths and art skills.
  2. Challenge Activity – Download the editable version of this resource (Google Slides) and remove the numbers from the pictures on the worksheets and answer keys. Provide the students with one of the numberless black-and-white worksheets and the matching coloured answer key. Challenge students to use the rules at the top of the worksheet to write numbers in each space, resulting in their worksheet looking like the answer key if a friend coloured it according to directions.
  3. Collaborative Colouring – Give each student in a small group a different coloured crayon and the full set of worksheets. Each student completes only the portion of each worksheet that is their colour, passing the worksheets amongst themselves until all the worksheets are finished.
