Hi there Lynn, thanks for reaching out. There are several ways you can set up the widget so that the letters sit on the solid line. They are all explained in the following blog post: If there is anything we can do to support you further, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected] Have a wonderful day!

Hello, I was wondering if there was a possibility to get dot writing for foundation/prep' students? (Those learning to write)

Why can't there be cursive in the widget please? When I click on the link to explain why it says the page isn't there any more. Is there a chance for cursive to become available? Thanks.

Hi Natasha, We'll take a look into why that page isn't displaying but to answer your question regarding cursive fonts in the widgets, unfortunately, we don’t have the technology to add Cursive fonts to Studio or Widgets, including the Handwriting Sheet Creator. Cursive fonts contain certain contextual ligatures which link letters together. These require the font carry additional information (rules and logic) to determine when and where to add these cursive joins between letters. Programs like Microsoft Word are able to interpret this additional information into the correct joins, to form flowing cursive writing. The fonts which Studio and Widgets use can’t handle this additional information, resulting in cursive fonts which do not have the correct joins. For this reason, we have not included cursive fonts. As soon as the technology becomes available, we will certainly implement all school cursive fonts.

It would be great if you could select the size of the line rather than the quantity of lines on a page, so that it can be matched to the size line they write on in their workbooks. My students use a size 14mm dotted third book yet when I print the sheets, the lines either come out too large or too small. Thank you.

All of my handwriting sheets have been deleted. I was also able to type directly into the lines. Why has this changed?

I am in Special Ed this year and I was wondering if the NSW font has dotted lines for tracing

    • Paul (Teach Starter)
      ·

Hi Morrie, Unfortunately, this widget doesn't have that capability as yet. However, maybe you can find something that will work in our Handwriting section that can be viewed at Thank you for your comment and for letting us know how we can better meet your needs in the future.

Yes, can we please get a dot to dot/joins as a font option for kids to trace? Thanks!

Can we get one of these using the dirt, grass and sky theme? Am I wrong, or should we be teaching students to write on the solid line and hanging the long letters below it?

Hi there Vicki, thanks for your query - this blog may help with the different State fonts and lines - They are all very different! This widget has been created to make handwriting sheets. I hope this is helpful.
