Watch the Why Do We Need Water video on YouTube. After watching, ask the students:
- Why is it important to drink water?
- What might happen if you didn't drink water?
- Where does water come from?

Explain the importance of water to living things, as outlined on slide 5 of the Living Things Need Water PowerPoint. Encourage the students to suggest where water comes from.
Identify the stages of the water cycle by watching the Dr. Binocs Water Cycle video on YouTube. Ask the students:
- Where does the water we drink come from?
- What happens when it rains?
- Why is it called 'The Water Cycle'?
Further explain the stages of the water cycle, as outlined on slide 6.

Display the independent activity on slide 7 and provide the students with a copy of The Water Cycle - Worksheet. Read through the instructions with the class and answer any questions the students may have.
Monitor and support the students as they complete the activity. Once the students have finished, discuss the correct sequence of the water cycle as a class.
