Shine a Light on Learning With a Light Levels Sorting Activity

Understanding different levels of light helps students make sense of the world around them. This Light Levels Sorting Activity invites young learners to become light detectives as they closely examine photographs, spot visual clues, and think about how lighting changes what they see. Through hands-on sorting and discussion, this Light Levels Sorting Activity builds observation skills while helping students develop a deeper understanding of light intensity and visibility.

As students compare familiar objects shown in bright, dim, and dark conditions, they practice using evidence to classify images and explain their reasoning.

Identify Examples of Bright, Dim, and Dark Lighting
