What’s Hiding In The Dark? Light Game for Kindergartners

Understanding how light affects what we can see is an important part of early science learning. What’s Hiding In The Dark? Light Game helps young learners explore the differences between bright, dim, and dark environments while developing observation and prediction skills.

As students play What’s Hiding In The Dark? Light Game, they discover that increasing light levels makes it easier to identify objects and gather visual information about the world around them.

Playing This Kindergarten Light Game

How to play this Kindergarten Light Game:

  • Show students the first image in the darkest lighting and ask them to predict what object is hidden.
  • Advance to the image with dim lighting to reveal more visual details and let students update their guesses.
  • Reveal the bright lighting image so students can clearly identify the object.
  • Discuss how increasing the light level made the object easier to see.
