Explore animal features and improve science inquiry skills with printable Habitat Prediction Task Cards.
What’s My Habitat? Science Prediction Activity Cards
Challenge students to think like scientists as they use observable animal features to predict where an animal might live. This engaging science prediction activity helps students connect animals’ physical traits and body features to their habitats while improving science inquiry and writing skills.
Observe Animal Features to Predict The Habitat
In this activity, students examine zoomed-in photo task cards that pinpoint specific animal features such as webbed feet, thick fur, long ears, or sharp claws, without revealing the entire animal.
Using only the visible clues, students will:
- Predict which habitat the animal lives in
- Use evidence from the image to support their thinking
- Explain how the feature helps the animal survive in that environment
