A template that students use to demonstrate their ability to describe the features of 3D objects.
Use this template as a summative assessment when exploring 3D objects and their features.
In each of the three boxes, students can either draw a sketch of a 3D object or make and place a small model to be displayed on top of the template. They then fill out the information associated with the 3D object and give any real-world examples.
Editable Microsoft Word versions of this resource are also available. Use these to change terminology if necessary.
A 2D Shape Profiles Template is also available.

2D Shape Profiles – Template
A template that students use to demonstrate their ability to describe the features of 2D shapes.
Hi. Just letting you know the 3rd section is missing the faces/vertices/edges writing!
Hi Keeley, thanks for bringing this up. This was done intentionally, as it provides an opportunity for the students to write the labels themselves (further demonstrating their understanding). It also allows for use with objects that have curved surfaces/edges. Let me know if I can assist further!
Could this be altered with 'vertices' in place of 'corners'?
Hi Jenny, Thank you for your suggestion. I have altered the PDF to use the term 'vertices' rather than 'corners'. An editable Word Document is also available for those who wish to make any additional changes to the terminology. Please get in touch if we can help with anything else!
