What did the dalmatian say after lunch? Complete this worksheet to find out!

This 8-problem addition worksheet is best used as independent practice of the addition algorithm.

Students will solve the 2-digit addition sentences to find the sum, which has a letter of the alphabet associated with it. Then they will use their answers to solve the riddle at the bottom of the worksheet by writing the letter that corresponds to each sum.

Adding 2-Digit Numbers Worksheet: Scaffolding & Extension Tips

Got fast finishers? Encourage students in need of an additional challenge to write word problems to accompany each of the addition sentences on the worksheet.

For students who need extra support, you may wish to provide manipulatives (such as blocks or counters) or a hundreds chart to assist students in completing the equations.

Don’t stop there! We’ve got more activities to help you cut down on lesson planning time!
