If you’re tired of the same old back-to-school ‘About Me’ activities, you’ve come to the right place! The Teach Starter team has been hard at work creating new, fun, and unique ways for your students to get to know each other when the school year begins. This fun All About Me takes a literary twist and has your students create their own personalised back-to-school book stacks.
Getting to Know You With a Library of Learning!
This printable template is designed to encourage your students to share fun facts and ideas about themselves in hopes of fostering new relationships and finding commonalities between classmates. To use this template,
- Print each student a copy of the two-page template (single-sided)
- Students will complete the title of each book with an answer to a written prompt. They will also draw a picture of themselves to create a fun name tent to label their stack.
- Colour and cut out both sections of the book stack. Glue the two halves together where marked.
- Display and share fun facts with classmates.
