Looking for a Paper-Saving About Me Book Template?

You’re in the right place! We’ve got you covered with our brand-new printable one-page About Me Book Template. That’s right, one sheet of paper!

We know how important it is to get to know your students on the first day of school, and we also know what it’s like to work on a copy budget. You’ll do anything you can to save paper, and we’ve found a way to give you the best of both worlds with our printable one-page About Me Book Template.

A One-Page Printable About Me Book Template

This printable About Me Book Template is special! It only uses one sheet of paper and forms a fun eight-page book. Students only need to fold along the lines and cut a single straight line. The template consists of a single sheet of paper and includes visual instructions on how to assemble the mini-book. You can have students cut apart the pages entirely and staple them into book form.

This printable booklet foldable is available as a quick-print PDF file that includes the one-pager template and visual instructions for students to follow. We recommend that you project the instructions and have students follow along from their seats.

How to Make a Mini Book Using a Single Page

  1. Fold the paper in half lengthwise (like a hot dog).
  2. Unfold it, then fold it in half widthwise  (like a hamburger).
  3. With the paper still folded in half widthwise, fold each end up to meet the centre fold, creating eight equal rectangles when unfolded.
  4. Fold the paper in half lengthwise again (hot dog style).
  5. Using scissors, cut along the centre crease between the middle two rectangles—only up to the halfway point.
  6. Unfold the paper and fold it widthwise again (hamburger style).
  7. Push the two ends toward each other so the cut section opens into a diamond shape in the middle.
  8. Fold the pages around the diamond shape to form your 8-page mini book.
  9. Crease all the folds firmly, and your book is ready to use!
