Multiple Uses for This Force and Motion Quiz

You can use this force and motion quiz in a variety of ways in your Year 7 classroom. Here are some suggestions from our teacher team:

  • Knowledge Pretest – Sometimes, the best time to do a quiz is at the start of a unit of work! This helps you see from the outset which concepts your students are already familiar with (if any) and which concepts will require specific teaching.
  • Mid-Unit Check-In – This forces and motion quiz could be used as a check-in task halfway through your unit of work on balanced and unbalanced forces. You can then see if you need to revisit any of the concepts already taught.
  • Summative Assessment – Use this forces and motion quiz at the end of your unit of work to see how much your students have learned. You may like to combine this with other methods of assessment in order to gain a more comprehensive overview of your students’ achievements.
