Empowering Advocacy Worksheet – Fostering Confidence and Self-Esteem

Empowering students to advocate for themselves and others is a valuable life skill and a powerful way to boost their self-esteem and confidence. This worksheet is designed to encourage students to brainstorm and reflect on how they can be advocates in their lives, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-worth.

In this worksheet, students are asked to write down five ways they can stand up for themselves and others and write about why it is important to do this.

Teaching Children to Stand Up for Themselves and Others

To go along with this worksheet, you might also like to focus on some effective ways kids can learn to advocate, assert themselves, and support others. 

Here are some suggestions:

• Teach children to express their thoughts, feelings, and needs clearly and respectfully.
• Help children understand the importance of personal boundaries.
• Encourage children to listen to others when they speak actively4997906.
• Teach children to use assertive body language.
• Engage children in role-playing scenarios to practise assertive communication.
• Make sure children know they can always seek help from a trusted adult.
