Spin and Write Contractions: A Fun and Engaging Learning Tool
This simple worksheet has been designed by a teacher for the utmost engagement. This activity combines the excitement of a spinner with the challenge of forming contractions, making grammar practise fun and engaging.

How to Create Your Own Spinner for a Worksheet
Here are a few simple ways to create a spinner for this activity:
- Paperclip and Pencil Spinner: Place a paperclip in the center of the spinner circle on the worksheet. Hold a pencil vertically in the center of the paperclip and flick the paperclip to spin it.
- DIY Arrow Spinner: Cut out an arrow from cardboard or thick paper and attach it to the center of the spinner circle with a brass fastener, allowing it to spin freely.
- Reusable Spinner: Use a transparent spinner from a board game and place it over the worksheet’s spinner circle.
Laminate for Long-Lasting Fun
To make this resource even more versatile and durable:
- Laminate the Worksheet: Laminate the “Spin and Write Contractions” worksheet to make it reusable. Students can write on it with whiteboard markers and easily wipe it clean after each use.
