Sequencing Daily Activities Through Everyday Routines

This sequencing daily activities resource has been designed as an interactive whole-class activity that encourages students to think about the order of familiar daily routines. Students take turns placing activity cards on a classroom timeline and discussing whether each event belongs in the morning, afternoon or evening, helping to develop chronological thinking and oral language skills.

The resource includes task cards featuring everyday activities such as waking up, eating breakfast, travelling to school, playing with friends and getting ready for bed. Once the class timeline has been completed and reviewed together, students can consolidate their understanding with an accompanying cut-and-paste sorting worksheet.
