Designed for early years’ students, these Observation Activity Sheets require students to observe, predict, and record information regarding how natural objects change over time.

Differentiated for Beginning and Developing Writers

With these observation activity sheets, students will begin by identifying and drawing an object they see in the world around them. Next, they will observe the object again after a given amount of time and draw or write what it looks like at this time.  Then, they will draw and write to predict what the object will look like after more time passes. 

To support a range of learners, this resource includes two differentiated worksheet versions:

• Draw-only response sheet for beginning writers 
• Draw-and-write response sheet for developing writers who are ready to add simple sentences
