Need Earth Day Activities? Grab an Earth Day Book!

The school year is flying by, so let’s get you prepped for all those upcoming holidays in your classroom! We have created a fun and engaging Earth Day reader for early readers and writers. Use this mini-book for an interactive read-aloud in the weeks surrounding the Earth Day holiday.

This Earth Day mini-book provides a fun, interactive way to help young students understand holidays as celebrations. The set contains a printable mini-book for students to read, complete, and colour.

Through this activity, students will increase their vocabulary and build skills in writing sentences with academic language.

Alternative Uses For an Earth Day Printable

We created this resource for circle time and reading lessons. In addition, we suggest these alternative uses to reinforce reading skills and new vocabulary words with your small group and full-class lessons:

  • Print on thick card and assemble a small set of books for a group activity where students read the books to each other as partners.
  • Complete a booklet, print a copy for each student, and send them home as mini-readers to share with their family.
