Formation of Earth – Reading Comprehension Worksheet
A reading comprehension activity that helps develop literacy skills and outlines the events and processes that led to the formation of our home planet.
Use this reading comprehension activity when developing literacy skills and/or when studying elements of the solar system.
Students read the text Formation of the Earth and then answer a range of questions designed to help students extricate the key information regarding how the planet was formed using comprehension skills including retrieval of literal information and summarising.
This teaching resource would be a wonderful addition to a lesson or unit that develops reading skills and/or that explores Earth and Space Sciences.
An answer sheet has also been provided.
