A cut-and-paste worksheet to practise finding the missing addend when making ten.

Use this worksheet when practising how to make ten by combining the numbers 0–10.

## How to Use This Worksheet

Students will cut out the numbers and glue them in the box next to where they belong. This resource can be used as an independent activity after a lesson or as a guided maths group activity. It also works well as a whole-class activity. Simply project the first page onto your screen and work each problem together as a class.

## How to Support Your Students in the Classroom

For those students needing a bit more support, give them a set of connecting cubes in two different colours. Using one colour, students will create a stick of cubes matching the given number in the addition problem, e.g., in the problem 8 + ____ = 10, the students will make a stick of 8. Then, using the second colour, they will continue to count on, placing cubes onto their stick until they reach 10, e.g., they will add 2 cubes to their stick of 8. Afterward, they count the number of cubes they added in the second colour to determine the missing addend.
