Measuring Capacity in an Exciting Maths Escape Room
Oh no! The Queen’s feast of measurements is in chaos—flour has spilt across the charts, and the pantry doors are locked! This escape room has been created by an experienced teacher to help students explore measuring and comparing capacity in litres and millilitres. This download includes a set of slides and a student guidebook.
Students are guided through a series of activities, during which they must demonstrate their understanding of comparing and measuring capacity. At the end, they will receive a code that will allow them to unlock the pantry before the Queen arrives!
How to Prepare this Escape Room Measurement Activity
This resource doesn’t take long to prepare or implement at all – and once you’re done – you get to sit back and watch the magic happen!
To Prepare
- Display the slides one at a time through a projector or give students a link to the slide deck to work at their own pace.
- Print a workbook for each student or group of students.
To Implement
- Read the introduction to the class.
- Give each student or group their guidebooks.
- Students work through the clues using the slides and their guidebook to solve the different problems.
- Once the students have all four answers for the code, they will bring their guidebook to you to verify their code.
