Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

In addition to individual student work time, use this worksheet as a:

  • specific rotation or guided group for maths
  • homework assignment
  • whole-class review (via smartboard).

Make this worksheet more of a challenge by tasking students to write their own number sentences for addition and subtraction on the back of the page.

Encourage students who need extra support to use the number line provided or provide students with manipulatives they can use to help determine the result of the number sentence.
