This Is Me Task Cards & Movement Activity
This printable icebreaker includes a set of 24 “This Is Me” task cards that mix quick movement activities with simple personal prompts. The cards are designed with early learners in mind — featuring simple text, playful prompts, and easy actions for all students to follow. Each card presents:
- A snippet of information that may or may not apply to each student (e.g., “I have a pet at home” or “I like to draw”).
- A movement instruction that students perform if the statement applies to them (e.g., “Spin around if you like pizza!”).
Students begin by finding a space to move safely. As each card is read aloud, they respond by performing an action if the prompt is true for them or by staying still if it’s not. The result? A room full of giggles, discovery, and camaraderie!
