No-Prep Year 4 Spelling Homework Pack!

Are you on the hunt for easy, no-prep printable resources to use for 4th grade spelling homework this year? If so, you’re in the right place! The Teach Starter team has been working hard to create new year-specific spelling homework sheets to help you reclaim some of that precious planning time!

This printable homework worksheet pack is designed for Year 4 students. Each weekly worksheet in this resource introduces a common spelling pattern or word type through a bank of ten new words and a bonus list of 4 words. Each weekly word bank focuses on a frequent spelling pattern, like short and long vowel sounds, digraphs, trigraphs, and blends. We have also interspersed weekly Spelling practise for the following word types.

  • Antonyms
  • Synonyms
  • Homophones
  • Frequently Misspelled Words
  • Contractions
  • Prepositions
  • And More!

Each spelling worksheet features a handy activity grid that includes ten different ways for students to practise their spelling words at home. To use, simply print, copy, and hand out!

Students complete each weekly worksheet to demonstrate they can correctly spell grade-appropriate words and identify common spelling patterns.

Why does it say 20 pages of spelling words when the word document I downloaded only has 3? It would help reduce the workload if I could access the 20 pages of pre-prepared words.

Hi Amanda, Thanks for reaching out to us! The 20 pages of spelling words are provided in the PDF versions of the resource. You can access these by clicking on the arrow beside the download button to reveal all the download options. Alternatively, you can access them in the Select Download section below the resource's description. If you would like to record a suggestion that the Word doc should also have the lists preloaded, please submit a change suggestion to this resource using the Changes & Updates tab above the comments section.
