How to use this resource:

  • Print out the black and white spelling grids and have students stick them into their spelling books at the beginning of the week.
  • Students need to colour in each box in the Activity Grid by the end of the week.
  • Print and laminate the coloured grids to have at activity stations during your small group work.
  • Send home the black and white versions for weekly homework.

I love the idea of this activity grid. However, I have a very low ability class and doing 4 variations of a sound a week will be overload for my year 1s. is it possible to have them split up? to perform two variations a week?
