Writing grid with 20 writing prompts.

A writing grid that has 20 writing prompts. This teaching resource is a great way to encourage writing on a number of different topics.

Ideas on how to use this resource:

  • Print out the black and white version and have students stick the grid in their writing books. A great activity to spend 15-30 mins on at the start of everyday.
  • Use it as a fast finisher activity. Students can highlight the writing prompts they have used on their very own grid.
  • Print out the colour grid and laminate. Leave as a whole grid or cut out each of the writing prompts and put them into a small tub. Students can then randomly pick a writing prompt during writing rotations.
