Help your pupils choose a topic to write about with this set of 36 character, setting and compilation task cards.
Use this set of cards to jump-start your students’ creative juices when writing a narrative text.
Print out the cards on card and cut them out. Place them on a binder ring for pupils to use when they are stumped for what to write about.
The cards include ideas about:
- characters
- settings
- complications.
The cards can be used separately, or you can challenge your pupils to select a card from each category without looking and write a text including all three!
Looking for a way to use these cards as a whole class? Project one of the cards on the screen and set a timer for 10 minutes. Have your pupils complete a quick write using the card.
These cards are also a great addition to any writing centre!
