Grab and Go Dwight D. Eisenhower Facts – 5th Grade TEKS

Did you know that Dwight D. Eisenhower’s birth name was David? Did you know that he never saw active combat? There is a lot of information about Eisenhower and his presidency, so it’s hard to decide what to teach young learners about our 34th President.

This reading passage is designed to get back to basics. Written for students in grades 5-6, this reading passage contains basic biographical information about President Eisenhower. It travels through his life and discusses his accomplishments and achievements.

This passage can be used as an assessment or guided reading activity for your students. It includes biographical text about Eisenhower, along with a ten-question comprehension check and a timeline of Eisenhower’s life activity.
