A Creative “Finish the Story” Writing Prompt for Kids

In this resource pack, students will dive into the thrilling story of Mia, a curious little girl who stumbles upon a mysterious cat. As they read, they’ll discover that this cat is no ordinary feline — it possesses magical powers! What they don’t realize at first is that this story doesn’t have an ending! Students must pick up the story where it leaves off and write the rest of the adventure themselves.

Once their story is complete, it’s time to finish it off with a fun display piece. We’ve also included a fun cutout of Whiskers the Cat that’s ready to hang onto their paper in the hallway.
